青春叫人懷念，縱然回憶總是甜苦交煎。《青春期》從兩個女孩的視角，講述了一個關於青春、關於夢、關於人生的必然和偶然的故事。高中生喜和七七同樣愛上學長，將暗戀心事少女情懷化成不能說的秘密。七七的謎樣性情，吸引著同班的內向男孩永亮。當明愛暗戀落得若即若離，徒令青蔥歲月更添朦朧凄美。歲月無情，被社會被工作被生活磨平的昔日同窗，再聚時也只能追憶往事，無奈茫然。青春的柔情，精力充沛的懶散，孤芳自賞的情懷，均只屬於青春期，並且與青春一同消逝。難得一見的中國現代青春片，沒有成年人在指指點點，田原穿上校服談情說愛，大放異彩。

影評:
早早預測了白襯衫的不真實。
《青春期》，誘人的名字誘人的卡司，卻是七零八落的故事。藍外套白襯衫，同行的女生說北京只有人大附中的校服這么日本范兒。還有鐵軌的情節，完完全全的東瀛風味。
但兩個女生的情誼讓我覺得很真切。仿似在身邊。細致到說話的語氣靠窗的姿勢，都像極了城市裡的高中女生。這在國內雲雲將中學生的影視作品中多麼罕見。田原和浦蒲，就像我中學大學的那些女同學們，會互相嘟嘴撒嬌，會牽著手飛跑，會聊星座和塔羅。
校園的段落，他們高考正是我們高考的那一年。SARS，北京的學生回家，深圳學生繼續上課。但失戀之後高考之後畢業旅行之後，故事便跳了四年，女生七七已經22歲，女生喜兒已經穿著職業套裝。
這省略，彷彿要強調「青春期」的已然終結。
之後的故事，圍繞重逢、夢境，還有一個有交談飢渴的「文藝民工」。劇情開始支離破碎，卻又像部鬼片般。直到老狼出場，片子又變得像喜劇。然後又突兀地結了局。所有跟七和八有關的成語大概都能用來形容了。
但我在田原和宋寧重逢做愛的那場戲，小鼻酸了一下。為那眼神里可知的絕望。
