一.語音方面
由於即使一個國家內部地域間的口音仍有巨大差別,如美國南北部居民之間口音差別,英國倫敦腔(cockney)和中上層階級的口音差別,所以這里只對比「美國普通話」(General American)與英國南部RP口音(Received Pronunciation)。

4. 其他常見的發音區別還有美式英語里herbal讀成erbal,省略h;很多單詞的重讀音節部位也與英式英語不一樣。
